  • College Chemistry for High Schoolers Part I

The College Chemistry for High Schoolers Chemistry course is designed to provide students with a rigorous and comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry. Through a combination of theoretical concepts, laboratory experiments, and problem-solving exercises, students will delve deep into the structure, behavior, and reactions of matter at the atomic and molecular levels. This course is specifically tailored to prepare students for success in their 1st semester college chemistry class as well as to develop critical thinking skills applicable to further studies in chemistry and related fields. Through our partnership with the New Hampshire Academy of Science (NHAS), students will perform most laboratory experiments at NHAS’s authentic science laboratory facility in Lyme, NH. Laboratory experiments will be scheduled as full days at NHAS’s facility, happening about once every other month. Depending on the experiment type, students can expect to complete 2 to 3 hands-on experiments on these scheduled lab days. Students will have the unique opportunity to experience the entire scientific process in the same way accomplished scientists carry out their profession. 1HS credits in NH.
